New Frontier Limousin is having a complete herd dispersal on November 17, 2018 at David Carsons, Listowel, Ontario. You can watch and bid online at www.davidcarson.on.ca. There will be 47 head on offer including 5 bred heifers and 1st and 2nd calvers. There will also be 7 open heifers including 2 red heifers, one out of Morrisvale Lumberjack (Australian Limousin bull). There are also 2 bull calves (one of which will be a heifer bull of out Wulfs Zane). The majority of the herd will be calving January 1st – February 28th, with a few in March and April. The herd has been vaccinated yearly and was given Tasvax 8 in the spring.
Our herd is black with the exception of the two red heifers. The herd has proven performance and pedigrees, with many coming from Top Meadows and Rail Line Farms. This is a good opportunity to acquire some of those great genetics. Our seed stock has been chosen to excel in production, have quiet dispositions and be easy calving. In the past 9 years we have only pulled one calf out of all of our heifers and cows.
Our bulls have been on Bio test the past 3 years and have been close to the top of 40 different bulls from all breeds. We have kept 5 of our own bulls as herd sires, for both our purebred and commercial herd. The rest of the bulls that were on test, are working in other herds, including Bennville Farm and Rail Line Farms.
We hope you will check out our catalogue that should be posted on the David Carson website shortly.
